S.A.F.E. System 1 Sheath- Basic Duty Kydex

This is the Basic Duty kydex sheath for the S.A.F.E. System 1 (SS1). This is a very durable and rigid sheath that will withstand the elements and not be as susceptible to moisture as leather. 

It also features a drain hole at the bottom, and a heavy duty synthetic strap and heavy duty snap button. Due to the nature of hollow handle knives having a large guard relative to the blade size, when the knife is inserted in the sheath there is a small amount of movement, if it was snug it would scratch the blade badly or get stuck if there were foreign objects (dust/sand) present. 

When you secure it with the heavy duty synthetic strap, there is very little movement and it is locked securely in place. This is designed to use the same belt loop and attachment system as the P.A.C.K.Lite, so that part is interchangeable. Handcrafted leather belt loop and mounting attachment/hardware available by selecting "Yes" to the option.
